Want to spend more time as a mermaid? This Mermaid course is a more intensive version of the Try Mermaid course. During this 3 days course, you will learn proper fin swimming techniques, how to control whole body movement and perform headstands, as well as proper safety techniques.
 
In no time at all, you can master techniques to transform you into a magical mermaid and show off your shell-tastic new mermaid-ing skills in the pool. No previous diving experience or mermaid-ing experience is necessary to join this course.

Learn how to become a mermaid with the exciting SSI Mermaid program! This mermaid training provides all the skills and techniques you need to maximize your mermaid experience, be truly comfortable in the water and get the most out of your equipment.

Method of Assessment

Knowledge mastery is assessed using knowledge reviews, video in MYSSI app and final exam with a minimum score of 80%.

 

Skills mastery is assessed by student demonstration of skill proficiency and competency in water.

FAQ

Q1  If i am slow learner, can i learn how to mermaid?

Yes, it is possible. You might consider to add extra day for pool session training so able to learn in several day and separely different dates. Or book the VIP, so you shall teach by a dive instructor personally with you, also able get full attention and concentration during the course.

Q2  Did I require to attend theory session?

Yes, SSI dive instructor conduct theory briefing with students / divers throught connect by video ZOOM at home, so you may able to continue study e-learning at MYSSI app before proceed to water training with our SSI Dive Instructor.

Q3  Where is the course conduct?

Theory Session : Like Scuba Center (Classroom)
skills Training  : Sutera Harbour Marina [Kota Kinabalu] 

Q4  Can i sign up SSI Mermaid course if i am not a good swimmer?

The answer is YES, you are allowed to dive as a non swimmer. There is NO time requirement to complete the swim while with/without mask, snorkel, fins. Float without the assistance of a floatation device for ten minutes, so we suggest you can do more swim practice or learn how to swim with our SSI Swim Instructor. 

Q5  What is the best recommendation to have own dive gears when learn mermaid course?

Best dive equipment is diving mask, easy to bring and price is affordable. Double K / IST Mask is our best recommendation for entry level to professional diver as well.
